Spring Technology's client, a public sector organisation, are currently looking to recruit a 2nd Line IT Support Analyst for an initial 9 month contract on a rate of c.£130-150/day (inside of IR35) based in Edinburgh.

Responsibilities:

* Helping the team to deliver an effective upgrade methodology for all Windows desktops and laptops.

* Contribute technical input into the development cycle based on extensive knowledge and experience in similar environments.

* Contribute to top-level desktop support as BAU.

* Working on a project to develop and deliver an upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10.

Requirements:

* 2nd Line IT Support experience.

* Experience supporting and/or developing large-scale Windows deployments.

* Good understanding of Windows OS and underpinning technologies.

* Experience with Active Directory (AD) management including permission delegation and Group Policy Objects (GPO.

* Working knowledge of BIOS / UEFI / TPM and MBR / GPT storage technologies management.

* Direct and relevant experience in large-scale-enterprise Windows 10 OS upgrades.

Desirable skills:

* Exposure to System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM) and/or MDT.

* PowerShell tool development

* Microsoft Upgrade Analytics.
