Netscaler & Security Specialist

The post requires highly skilled individuals to work with the ICT team to analyse existing services with a view to improving performance, stability and resilience.

Main Duties

* Rebuild the production Netscaler configuration to ensure consistency and optimised performance.

* Migrate the appliances into the CheckPoint DMZs ensuring adequate resilience

* Migrate utilised services from the older Netscaler devices into the active Netscaler devices ensuring it meets availability, performance and recovery requirements. All service functionality to be rigorously tested

* Implement web application firewall functionality to protect key web-based systems.

* Provide and implement a plan to update the firmware on the current legacy Netscaler devices

* Health check and monitor the activity on all the Netscaler Devices to ascertain system use with a view to ensuring that the device is optimised for network traffic and service delivery

* Liaise with customers/ICT colleagues during the migration phases

* Provide technical document on all aspects of the work

* Work with the ICT Infrastructure and Network teams to plan, design and build the appropriate solutions

Specialist Skills and Qualifications

* Implementation experience with Citrix Netscaler Appliances and proven skills in using the Netscaler CLI interface

* Knowledge of Citrix Provisioning Services, StoreFront and NetScaler Gateway

* Network security

* Experience using Enterprise firewalls preferably Checkpoint devices

* System Administration, Problem Solving, Information Security Policies, Process Improvement, Network Troubleshooting, Firewall Administration, Network Protocols, Routers, Hubs, and Switches
