Data Scientist/Contract/London/£500-£600

Jefferson Frank are searching for a Data Scientist to work on site for a large Financial organisation based in London. The data scientist should have strong analytical and programming skills, and comfortable working with large quantities of multi-modal data.

Key Skills and Responsibilities

* Drive analytical methods (statistical modelling, machine learning, NLP, as appropriate) to extract information, patterns, visualization or other analytics to fulfil the requirements of the monitoring solution that is assigned

* Participate in development projects/code sprints as part of model development lifecycle to ensure applications are developed to a high standard and conform to all governance requirements

* Contribute and/ or contribute to the generating of control documentation in support of governance of the solution/application development

* Work with technology teams to source data requirements in support of application development

* Programming - Python, PySpark, Spark, Git and SQL

* Analytical tools - Cloudera Data Science Workbench (CDSW), Hadoop, BitBucket (or similar repo tool), Artifactory, and Hue

* Experience working with global teams across diverse range of functions

* Ability to proactively identify issues and propose solutions

* Developing solutions within a develop/validator and model development lifecycle context

* Working in an agile team
