Role Description:
1 Install, Upgrade and Configure VCenter and other vSphere components.
2 Install, Upgrade and configuration of ESXi servers.
3 Deployment of Virtual machines and appliances. Export VM as. ova/.ovf format.
4 Basic knowledge on storage. Creation of new data stores and Datastore expansion.
5 Taking VM snapshots and restoring same. Clone VM and creating VM template.
6 Diagnostic and troubleshooting of ESX server environment.
7 Configure Standard and Distributed Virtual Switches and port groups.
8 Knowledge on vSphere CLI and ESXTop.
9 Good understanding of HA, DRS, vmotion, sVmotion and EVC.
10 Performance tuning & health check of vCenter servers & ESX hosts.
11 Resolving VM backup related issues.
12 Knowledge on Site recovery manager, vRA and vROps.
13 Handling day to day operational tasks of the VMware environment.
14 Knowledge on Update Manager and patch deployment on ESXi hosts as well as Vulnerability management.
15 Designing, Sizing and Implementation of VMware for Server Virtualization.
16 P2V and V2V conversion of servers.
17 VCP certification.
