Android Developer - Hereford (Remote working options available) - Contract
Type: 3-6 Month Contract
Location: Hereford (Remote)
Start Date: April 2019
Computer Futures are seeking an experienced Android Developer for an initial 3-6 month contract for a key client of ours based in Hereford. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Android Developer to join a dynamic team. The candidate in question must have excellent technical skills to develop, deploy, maintain and optimise the businesses Android applications.
Key Skills:
- Knowledge of OOP (Java) and Android SDK
- Experience of JNI with C libraries
- Working in Agile development team
- Experience with REST-APIs integration
- Strong problem-solving skills
Desirable Skills:
- Staying up to date with the latest Android innovations
- Understanding of problems in low connectivity situations
- Knowledge of mobile landscape, architectures and emerging technologies
- Code analysis along with a taste for good code quality
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
- Help maintain code quality, organisation, and automation
- Peer-review code and assist with problem solving at a team level
