You'll play a vital role towards FPGA/ASIC solutions for navigation and cryptographic devices, initially working towards design assurance of a mature design, but with future opportunity to contribute across the engineering lifecycle -including specification, design, development, integration, testing and certification.

As part of this role you'll:

* Work with the Project Design Authority for all firmware related activities

* Work towards design assurance through review of design, review of verification, implementation of additional verification to increase the level of design assurance

* Provide advice and support to the wider team of developers to ensure the team are producing firmware that meets DO254 DAL C (and parts of B) standard, including providing the necessary evidence towards SOI reviews.

* Plan your work effectively, including the breakdown of problems into manageable work packages

* Accurately cost up work and manage associated risks

* Produce written documentation (including presentation material) of technical work in accordance with project requirements

The Fit

As well as a degree in electronics, electrical engineering or a related subject, you'll need to have experience of designing and implementing complex firmware solutions in FPGA.

You will have direct experience working to DO254 standards, be able to apply it to review of existing implementation to determine if this is sufficient to achieve DO254 DALC/B.
