We are looking for two contract Software Engineers for an established and expanding Engineering company in Oldham. The role will see you joining a small team of skilled Engineers in the IT team who work on challenging and technically exciting projects.The Engineer will be involved in development, enhancements, maintenance of a new & high profile project. The role is working on a large electronic devices, so previous exposure to embedded devices with C++ on Linux is essential.This will be for a six month contract with a view to be extended. Some flex of start/Finish times can be offered if needed.Skills & experience we are looking for include:C/C++ Programming on a Linux platform.Embedded system knowledgeStrong Linux programming skills - 2 YEARSLinux systems - (Buildroot used onsite)Good serial comms experienceBash scripting, init scripts -Overall system configuration experience Desirable skills include:QTVideo graphics / Touch screen application experience a desirableGaming experience ( client is in this sector) If you are interested in this role then please send me your latest CV or give me a call.
