Developer Skills Profile

We're currently looking for a proven Java developer to work on some server-side integration software that uses the Apache Camel framework to consume, validate and process XML data using complex business logic rules. The system under development uses various transportation mechanisms to communicate with the data sources including HTTP REST interfaces, JMS and SOAP. A successful candidate will also have proven experience in unit and integration testing.

Mandatory

*Java - 4+ years of Java server-side programming experience, preferably Java 8, solid demonstrable coding skills

*Use of JUnit and a mocking framework

*Excellent Apache Camel skills + experience of Enterprise Integration

Patterns

*Experience of working in Agile teams using Scrum or Kanban

*Experience using basic Linux commands

*Experience using GIT

Highly Desirable

*Apache Camel Java Domain Specific Language

*Experience doing Test Driven Development

*Cucumber + Gherkin

*Gitlab + using merge requests and code reviews

*Working with XMLs and XSDs

*Experience using Eclipse or IntelliJ

*Experience using Jenkins

*Experience using a build tool for Java (e.g. Maven)

*Experience using JIRA

*SC cleared

Desirable

*WebLogic experience with a Java EE enabled application server

*Oracle SQL

*Experience using Maven and various plugins and dependencies

*Basic Shell scripting

*Citrus integration framework

*Working with XSLT's - transforming XMLs into other XMLs or other formats e.g. PDFs

*Experience using Behaviour Driven Development
