Production PlannerCardiff6 monthsThe Production Planner will convert the MPS master schedule from Oracle VCP into an executable production plan for the shop floor. Working in the next 2-week window, but as far as 8 weeks, the production planner will work alongside the production and sourcing teams. They will set and maintain the plan according to known constraints.Key responsibilities include:Demand stability including accounting for unplanned demand (RMA, NPI)Understanding of material shortages and impact to the build planYield issuesCo-ordinate cross functional teams in the maintenance of critical data for planning purposes (lead time, yield etc.)Maintain critical planning parameters within the ERP systemWork seamlessly across the functions to balance supply and demand to internal and external customersWork closely with production team leaders to create the weekly shop floor scheduleTo optimize capacity based on the adopted master plan (within the assigned production area)Communicate the status of the plan to all levels of the department (shop floor to department lead)To ensure timely and accurate delivery information to the factory's customers (distribution, Regions, etc.).Ability to balance a range of critical measures (customer OTD, inventory, direct labour productivity, scrap) to drive the right outcomes for the customer and the businessQualifications and Skills:Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent knowledge and experience in supply chain operationsRelevant experience in Materials/Production Planning and ExecutionStrong system knowledge of Oracle ERP or another ERP systemKnowledge and experience of production planning and schedulingExperience of production planning in Biopharma or other industry with shelf-life constraintsProven ability to manage competing priorities and create clarityExcellent interpersonal and leadership skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsProven analytical and organizational abilitySuitable candidates should submit their CV in the first instance.
