(UK-wide, 100% remote). Experienced software Solution Architect required by this established (4yrs+), but still rapidly expanding, global Fintech (retail ecommerce technologies) to help support the Software Engineering, Product, and Commercial teams with the provision of innovative, robust and scalable solutions.

Solution Architect - the role: 

The team have always worked remotely using Agile, with little hierarchy, in a relaxed but goal-focused environment. There are some 30 staff of various disciplines within Engineering and a real chance to shine; use your experience and grow with the company.  Working with various teams - Software Engineering, Product, Commercial & Sales teams - this varied and interesting position covers: 

-  Gathering functional requirements, translating them into system guidelines that shape project development

-  Developing highly detailed specifications on product features and technical innovation

-  Controlling project scope

-  Designing & architecting solutions, researching and recommending the best technologies to enhance performance, availability and scalability

-  Discovering new ways to align project with enterprise-level systems

Solution Architect - the person:

The client is keen to find someone who has worked in a similar role, ideally for a Fintech, who has a number of years software architecture experience under their belt, after moving on from software development.

-  Strong architectural framework experience

-  Strong UML and sequence diagram knowledge

-  Experience of BPMN beneficial but not essential

-  Experience of AWS/Google Cloud, GIT, Rest APIs, SQL, CI/CD, OOP
