They are committed to innovation and the continual pursuit of improvement, and with a brand holding over 100 years of service they are now developing their technology capabilities, venturing into new markets and building their customer base further.On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for Solutions Architect for a 12 Months contract based in Derby/Hybrid.Purpose of the Role:The role will be responsible for providing in depth technical guidance and solution designs/reviews on all aspects of the projects scope. You will require in depth knowledge of compute & hosting technologies and operating models, with experience of delivering complex projects. The role will be based in Derby with frequent travel to other locations in the UK i.e., Bristol.As a Solutions Architect you will be responsible for:Interpret business requirements to enable and own the design of integrated solutions in accordance with the EA roadmapLead the design of architecture within the Solution Delivery Team for integrated solutions in line with appropriate standardsProvide leadership and direction on technical aspects of systems development and integration in line with technical strategies, standards etc.In Solution designs focus on User Experience and AutomationShared ownership for supporting and monitoring the SolutionsCreate and manage relationships with Vendor SA's / EA'sProvides a deep understanding of relevant solutions within their Solution Delivery TeamProvides technical and interpersonal leadership to more junior membersTroubleshoots and debugs solution components (configuration of system components)Possesses a detailed appreciation of an industry / Solution family and its business requirementsLead business process design discussions with business counterpartsManaging stakeholders internally and externallyWhat we require from the candidate:Demonstrable IT architecture experienceDemonstrable service orientated technical leadershipDemonstrable technical leadership of complex technical and/or professional work activitiesExperience of leading and working in a global business environment and managing distributed teamsGood business understanding and deep understanding of own specialism(s)Advise on the available standards, methods, tools and applications relevant to own specialismAbsorbs technical information and communicates effectively at all levels to both technical and non-technical audiences.Actively seeks to understand the implications of new technologies and industry developments, communicating the opportunity and impact to the teamInternally &/or externally recognised as an expert of the business application of the capabilityInternally &/or externally recognised as a trusted advisor on a particular business process/productTranslates business requirements into functional solutions within the constraints of the enterprise architecture and systems level designIf you are interested in applying for this position and meet the criteria outlined above, please click the link to apply and we will contact you with an update in due course.Please note that due to recent changes in Off Payroll (IR35) legislation, our client only operates with contractors that operate via a PAYE or Umbrella model.
