I am currently working with a leading university who are looking for a Solutions Architect where they need you to support the analysis of technology solutions to support heterogenous line of business and enterprise applications supporting professional service business areas of the University. The Solution Architect will be involved in all stages of product and technical assessments. Practical experience of solution architecture encompassing Integrations; Middleware; Dynamics and operations through APIs and IPaaS is desired.

Key Responsibilities:Work with business customers (most commonly central administration and professional service departments within the University), end user representatives and IT Services colleagues to understand development objectives, to analyse specific requirements and develop outline solution proposals. This involves applying knowledge of industry best-practice, IT strategy, architectural principles, policies, capabilities, and constraints in combination with a sensitivity to users' underlying needs. Investigate fully the IT implications, technical feasibility, risk, costs and resource requirements of alternative options.Research market offerings, undertake product evaluation, and coordinate the engagement of suppliers and consultancy organisations.Examine current technology, systems and service landscape and develop and maintain a consistent and understandable map of the current environment.Design, document, promote and initiate the implementation of the IT aspects of the solution, ensuring that appropriate standards are applied and engaging colleagues and users to ensure satisfaction and benefits realisation.Prepare project initiation documentation, facilitate handover to the project manager and project implementation team and thereafter monitor progress to check that the intended solution approach is being followed, providing ongoing advice to ensure design quality standards are met.In cases where the implementation is halted for unexpected business or technical reasons, work with the key stakeholders to agree any appropriate modifications. Act as a source of advice and guidance to those wishing to initiate projects. Advise business area stakeholders on all aspects of the pre-project journey, for example, answering questions and providing advice on business case development, project approval gateways and the standards expected for pre-project documentation.
