Senior Java Developers | Inside/Outside IR35 | Remote | Contract

This Clients Senior Java Developers are experts in their field. You will act as a Senior Consultant providing technical expertise in software engineering practices both internally and to the consultancy's clients. You will be a leader, and have the ability to manage projects, maintain client relationships and be passionate about developing and upskilling others.

Your role in nutshell:Produce software for Consultancy and their clients - front-end, back-end, platform, they do it all, but you don't need to be an expert in it allCreate web applications used by public and staff - this includes researching with members of the public to understand their needsWork within an agile, collaborative, multidisciplinary teamPrototype new functionality prior to committed developmentUtilise the latest standards and approaches to solving problemsBuild great relationships with your team and stakeholdersWork with the Hippo community to share best practice to ensure high standardsLine management of colleagues within your profession

Skills and experience that you need

Experience of the full development life-cycle delivering user-centred digital solutions An experienced developer using core Java, CXF, Spring Boot, Jetty, Mustache, HMTL, CSS & JavaScriptStrong JavaScript library and framework experience - Node, React, Angular Extensive experience working within agile methods and using techniques such as Kanban and TDDSkilled in designing and building native and web applications, across a variety of scales and platform environments such as AWS, Mongo and Oracle Java 8Expertise in public cloud and DevOps Capable of using a variety of software tools such as Terraform, Vault and Ansible CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, AWS CodeBuild, Azure DevOps and AtlassianA team player with strong collaborative skillsExcellent verbal/written communication skillsAble to articulate in both technical/non-technical terms depending on audiencePrevious experience of working on GOV/NHS projects would be highly desirableEmbrace line management responsibilities (experience preferred but not essential) and supporting colleaguesThis is a fantastic opportunity with an outstanding company who treat all staff brilliantly!
