someone in the thread mentioned FreeAgent so I searched their site for Barclays and found " Barclays DataServices" which gives freeagent access to your data.

Automated Bank Feeds from Barclays - FreeAgent
When I last looked at that you needed a phone account in order to verify that you wanted online auto feeds...

I'll take another look to see if the rules have changed.

Not to mention that it worked perfectly well until they "upgraded" the web-site.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

Lloyds actually ammended their Ts&Cs a while ago to include this clause:

We will not treat you as breaking your security obligations just because you use an aggregation service we do not provide, as long as you continue to keep your Security Details secure and do not disclose them to the service provider. A*typical aggregation service allows you to view information about your accounts with different banks on a single website.
Which some Yodlee-esque aggregators I've spoken to say puts them in the clear (although Yodlee themselves, AFAIK, remain stubbornly silent on the issue). However if you're still having to give up your login details seems like you'd be in breach to me. The whole situation is incredibly frustrating - banks don't seem to realise how much demand there is for secure read-only access to account data.

Errr... so unless there's a direct authorised feed from the bank (a la Barclays Data Services), how do Lloyds think these aggregation services will work without the customer divulging their credentials? AFAICS, that's basically a totally meaningless clause.

You don't. I set up the datafeeds into FA a few weeks back. Although it says in the email that you need your telephone banking details, I just called Barclays via the mobile banking app (which skips you past most of the security checks), asked for the data services team and gave them the token code that is emailed to you when you request the service through FA.

Agreed it's incredibly useful though and prevents the need for faffing around with CSV exports etc.

Precisely. Only sensible explanation to me is that Lloyds are working on their own Data Service-esque solution and inserted the clause ahead of time.

I love Lloyds online banking, personal is great and business is pretty good. My business account was moved to TSB but still based on the same (ex lloyds) platform.

I’m currently with CA but am in the process of moving accountants and closing down ltd to start up a new one.

Would like to use CA for new business account but think I need to submit a new application to them, gather I have to do this via an “introducer”, my new accountant isn’t an authorized introducer, any ideas how I would go about apply for a new account and who I could use to get “introduced”?
