    Cashback credit cards

    Hi All,
I've just had my annual credit card statement, and it appears I put ~ 48k through my credit card last year. Admittedly that's higher than usual due to an extended trip to Oz and more expenses than usual, but even so I usually put most spending through one card.

All of the cashback credit cards seem to have a maximum spend limit of around £300 / month before stopping the cash back.

Anyone know of a decent / unlimited cashback card? Amex isn't really an option as nowhere wants to take it.

    Ta....

      Get a Curve card.

From their description Curve is similar to products such as Apple Pay, but in the familiar form of a card and without the £30 transaction limit - because Curve is a MasterCard® prepaid card with Chip & Pin as well as contactless. Our first release is tailored for self-employed movers and makers like you.

It basically acts as a wrapper to whatever card you wish to use so will allow you to use your american express card everywhere even if its not usually accepted.

Quote WUHI2 when you join to and you will get £10 back (as will I)...

For overseas travel you want a http://supercard.io (both myself and thefaqqer would recommend it). That's about to be relaunched so you'll need to wait a month or so before getting it...

Natwest Black, but they've just canned the cashback/points, and I refuse to pay £250 for the credit card and then an additional £90 for the cash back credit card too.

Don't do a great deal of foreign travel 3 or so weeks away on holiday/year. Last year to Oz was the exception.

Curve looks a great solution for Amex users. I swapped from Tesco Mastercard when they slashed the Air Miles on the card. I will investigate Curve seriously.

Do you really want cash back? Is there no points equivalent that will suit you? I have the IHG rewards card and get a free night plus a good number of free nights away during the year. Also get free upgrades where available so save alot on hotels. Maybe airlines or even Tesco points?

Amex is still the best (1.5% up to a limit then 1% I think). But like you said need another because not everyone takes it.

Got The Wife (tm) a John Lewis card. Most of out groceries come from Waitrose, so it gives the best points for that.
I have a Halifax Clarity card for travel due to it being the best exchange rate (although if the client is picking up the tab I will use a card with points)

I'm not a fan of Amex because of their limited acceptance. The reason why so few retailers accept them is because of exorbitant fees they charge.

...but am going to take a look at the Curve card...

For overseas use, the SuperCard is excellent. No problems at all recently using it in Oz and Singapore. Very good exchange rates too.
