    Default no further compensation sought

I want to prepare a letter to end the possibility compensation shall be sought. Am I looking for an affidavit or something else?

    Dear Sir,
    I don't want any compensation.
    Thanks,
    Scooter

.... or is that not what you mean? More details I suspect are needed.

Carry on. That's about 20% of the story, surely?

I, named person, shall not seek further compensation from Scooter. End.

Which is fine, but is that single sentence legally binding?

Wouldn't you have to have a blanket "for what" as part of that?

Wouldn't it also be from yourco as well as you?

It's not part of my business. Bumped someone's car in Tesco's carpark on a strong windy day.

When I chased a debt and got the principle paid (but not the interest), the phrase used was "in full and final settlement". I took the money.

"I accept the offered compensation as a full and final settlement".

Ahh.. Well then. Write a note along the lines of below and leave it under their windscreen wiper.

    Dear Sir/Madame,

I've bumped your car for which I'm truly sorry. It wasn't my fault and I blame mass uncontrolled immigration but I am writing this note in the hope the guy that is watching me thinks I am leaving my contact details and registration. Sadly I'm not. Very sorry...

Probably OK, as a judge would view it as it is.
Unless new evidence came to light, or if the insurance company on either side decided they wanted a piece.

Bear in mind that compensation claims for car accidents are against insurance companies not individuals.

Haha. I've done that once many year ago. Hired transit van.
