Need new good Accountant in Warrington / Wigan area

    Hi

I am living in Warrington and presently under Brookson Accountancy co.
I am looking to change to a more smaller good reputable firm near were I live and understands the IR35.

I am a design Engineer, one man band with a limited company.

    Please advise

    Thanks
    Warren

Would you consider a remote accountant? Most guys on here tend to be remote from their clients as not much call for face to face meetings.

If you can push to Bolton you could speak to Gorilla Accounting. I think they are your side.

I'd normally say you don't need a local one as you are very unlikely to need to meet them but if you can get a good Freeagent accountant in the NW area then best of both worlds.

        Hi,

I-PAYE Accountancy uses Freeagent, and we are based in Knowsley. Happy to have a chat to see if we are a good match for you.

        Thanks

In 20-odd years of contracting I've never physically met any of my accountants. It is an over-rated pastime. But of the ones that have already thrown their hat in the ring above, Leeds isn't all that far and they come well recommended.

If location is not as important for you, you can search from the wider range of specialist contractor accountants on the market and find the one that you think would be most suitable for you. There are many accountants on this forum including our firm that offer specialist contractor accounting services and advice on IR35.

Could I ask why you need one close by? Most people don't and it really limits you selection (even if you do eventually end up with one that happens to be closer than others)

Bear in mind any Wigan accountant will want to be paid in pies.

Alternatively, scraps and pea wet are an acceptable currency at the lower end of the market
