Contractor asked to do more hours than permies

    Inside IR35 contract.
Contractor told that contractors are asked to work 40 hours per week, and permanent staff work 37.
No written policy on this as far as is known so far.
    Thoughts?

My first contract was 37 hours. Then they asked me to do 40 hours. I was hourly paid and very happy about it.
Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!

        Should have said. Day rate.
Initial thoughts are that is engenders ill will towards employer. Fairly long contract so hinders feeling assimilated etc.

How much do you want the contract? If you aren't bothered then walk, if you are then don't.

Whatever you do though, don't compare your situation with the permies.

Why does this matter ? You're not a permie.

Yes there is, it’s called your contract. What other people have in their contracts (of employment or otherwise) is up to them, yours is up to you.

                    Chalk and Cheese.

The similarities being, one doesn't compare either pairing.
