Purchase foreign equity in a Co, personal or via ltd?

If you purchase foreign equity in a Co what advantages are buying it with your company (to be owned by your Co) vs buying it personally.

You should have an idea of what you want to achieve with this so run the different tax numbers for personal and business and see what difference it makes.

I'd also imagine the type of investment and the way its bought/held make a big difference to the answer but we've nothing to go on.
