    Fighting HMRC and IR35

Mods please delete if not appropriate, I have no idea.

Lots of people complaining about this and that with HMRC but very few seem to be be actually doing anything about it. So here's a chance for you to do something other than main.

Please help George get counsel to help him at the UTT. He has already successfully defended himself at FTT but needs real expertise now.

£20,000 should be a lay up with all the contractors affected. but he is still fairly significantly short and it is an all or nothing fund.

Maybe we could put our hands into our pockets for this.

Isn't this what people have been hoping for - someone (else) to take this to courts?

    Sticky made.

Pledged, let's band together and fight this unfairness.

This all sounds great but I'd like to know what he lost on at the FTT and on what legal basis he hopes to win.
"Fairness" won't win a legal case. Facts and evidence will.

I'm also surprised that if the IHPA are backing him why aren't they stumping up the costs?
IPSE fight the cases for their members don't they?

        All power to him though.

It's been flagged to IPSE, who were already aware of this case. It looks on the face of it like one well worth pursuing. However, I'm not sure what he is pursuing - employement rights or reinstatement of expenses. The former has echoes of the Winchester case, the latter is probably out of scope.

For an appeal to succeed there has to have been a clear mis-ruling at the FTT. We don't have enough information to know where that may be.

And £20k is just the start. Several cases have got to six-figure sums...

It looks like IPSE have contributed £500.

Donated what I can afford, I think it's an important case.
