    Estonian Ltd working in France for a French company

    Hello,

    First of all, thank you for keeping this forum so helpful.

    I just have a question regarding my Estonian Limited and need some help.
    I have a new 1year contract proposition from a French company. I have an Estonian limited (which is in EU), but my client said it wouldn't be compliant to work in France with this "foreign" ltd.

    Have you ever been in this situation ?
    Do you think I can work in France with my LTD or I need to set-up a new french ltd ?

        It's simple - a small company needs to pay tax in the country it operates in.

        So you need to follow French law to work for a French company in France and that means you will need either a French company or whatever other means are supported for self-employment in France.

            Not quite - you are always a micro-organisation and so need to find the most appropriate legal mechanism for working on a contract in any country that isn't your own (assuming it's not 100% remote in this COVID world).

            That in the UK would be your own limited company or an umbrella company.

            In Germany it would be a Freelancer / Freiberufler but I don't know what you need to do in France and we no longer have someone on hand to direct you towards now Sue is no longer at iPAYE.
