I need an accountant that specialises in contractors and can also provide me TAX advise. I am more keen on personalised service rather than the box-standard accounting that you get with most of the big firms out there. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Doing a search for Accountant will bring back many threads on this topic as it gets asked almost weekly. Lots of reviews and advice on the most popular ones.'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!!Comment

I am looking for the following:
1. An accountant to help me minimise TAX based on my personal circumstances (so he/she needs to also understand the complex UK TAX system)
2. An accountant to assist me with the every-day running of the company.
I know anyone can do point 2. What I am mainly looking for is someone I can trust that can also provide me TAX guidance and advice beyond the business-as-usual running of a limited company.Comment

1. Do a search for accountant on this forum as already suggested, or,
2. Be more specific about your "unique" circumstances so someone can point you in the correct direction.
Refusing to supply more information and simply demanding help for your "unique" circumstances isn't going to elicit any helpful information for you."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

I am also confused as to why the OP needs help with the day-to-day running of their business if the OP is planning on taking on a perm role overseas. It could be that they OP is running a side business when the OP was contracting, but I can only guess. I know it's none of my business, but with the lack of information, I don't know if the OP is looking for an IR35 Tax Accountant, or a Tax Accountant who can advise the OP on how to be Tax Efficient whilst living overseas as, to be confirmed, a foreign citizen, British Citizen or a citizen with dual nationality.
It's really none of my business though, and wish the OP the best of luck in finding the right Accountant for them.If your company is the best place to work in, for a mere £500 p/d, you can advertise here.Comment

I will recommend you get a part time finance director. This is very good for owner managed companies who want a bit more than what is provided by the normal high street accountants.

Please abide by the T&C's - you can provide advice but blatant advertising is a no-no.
