    Professional indemnity insurance ?

I've just gained my first contract. I've been looking around and it seems that it might be an idea to purchase some professional indemnity insurance. I've looked around and I've had quotes from about £50 a month to £25 based on an insurance cover of 250K.

Can anybody recommend and good insurance company. Thanks in advice.

Who is your accountant? A lot of the specialist contractor accountants offer this as part of their package

If you're a member of the PCG (and if you're not, why not?) you get access to fairly cheap insurance through their affiliates Randell Dorling

Nobody probably can because I doubt anyone has actually been unlucky enough to have to claim on it (or will admit it.)

              Urban myth #27...

There have been several recent cases. Perhaps becuase the people involved actually had PI and could defend themselves, it never got a lot of publicity?
              Blog? What blog...?

                Please PM the case law.

                Cheers.

                (And yes I'm serious.)

Do you own googling, I dont have time to wade through 3000 pages of personal injury com-peh-say-shun blurb to track down some obscure legal cases.

And anyway, if the contract says you need it, then you need it. Doesn't matter if its pointless.
