Train was a bit less crowded this morning.
I'm not even an atheist so much as I am an antitheist; I not only maintain that all religions are versions of the same untruth, but I hold that the influence of churches, and the effect of religious belief, is positively harmful. [Christopher Hitchens]

        some of the schools did.

        Teachers off.

Some Union woman on the radio yesterday complaining that teaching assistant only get £10k a year. She had been to the Maggie Thatcher school of elocution, was really weird.

no one pointed out that that is for 2/3rds of the year with child friendly hours. I'm guessing about £10 an hour.

You wouldn't get that for working in a supermarket.

If you don't like your job, then **** off and let someone else who wants it take it.

Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

So a strike that was designed to cause massive disruption and force the politicians into signing off huge pay rises has in fact had positive results to people's lives.

I saw some firefighters on the picket line on the way back from dropping my daughter off at nursery and apparently all but 4 local schools are closed today.
