    Emergency laws

    Emergency laws to monitor phone and internet records 'to stop terrorists' - Telegraph

    Oddly they never seem to stop any terrorists. Instead they are used to harass the plebs.

    All the terrorists will do now is switch to something else - communicating by letter.

    Bomb in the dartfotrd tunnel anyone?

    The ancient Romans classified people such as aggressive tax avoiders, price fixers etc. as wagers of economic war against the state. I await similar measures, retrospectively applied.

          The tax man is watching you: HMRC snoops on public 14,000 times in a year - Home News - UK - The Independent

          And while you weren't looking, somebody built these things all around western Europe's borders, ostensibly to keep out those brown people that would like to come and get a bit of the wealth, possibly by doing low level jobs;

          Reminds me of this thing, which was ostensibly built to protect the population of eastern Europe against nasty capitalists who wanted to sell them cars, or bananas as the case may be;

          Maybe I'm just paranoid, or maybe I know some history.

              Are all your posts going to be about NTRT? Aren't you going to pick on MF every now and again?

                  Nothing to do with terrorism, the nasty politicians want to know how close the enquiries are getting to the powerful nonces so they know where to send Special Branch to head it off

                    Although to be fair we don't know this. Due to secret trials and suchlike I wonder whether the authorities are reeling them in in their hundreds, so preventing many terrorist attacks?
