Is it worth pursuing a career anymore...

You work hard all your life as benefits and council houses dont have a great appeal, so you work and take different jobs that come along during the course of your working life.

If you're offered permanent employment for 38,0000 or one at 34,0000 you take the lower paid one so you wont enter the 40% tax bracket (and end up having to fill out endless bulltulip self assesment forms), so your net income is probably better than it would be for the higher. Then the CSA (another robbing gov dept) come along and tell you how much they are going to leave you with after they have made ridiculous deductions straight from your payroll. You then decide that it's not worth working and ending up with £75 per week disposable income after your mortgage and government payments, so you leave perm employment and go contracting so the Gordy's cant pinch your earnings and then they decide to take your passport and driving license off you for not paying your CSA.

Thats after you have been caught driving to work at 31mph and get 3 points and a fine.

Better off staying in bed and drawing benefits.....!

So, the moral of this story is, don't have kids, and don't break the law.

Or the Flubster way...stay happily married and don't get caught!

Or you could just take the money and do a runner.
Blair, you cannot reach me now,
            No matter how you try,
            Goodbye cruel Labour,
            Your end is nigh.

                1. you will get more net from 38,000 than from 34,000.
                2. Do you think that having children is a responsibility that is either light or short?
                3. Why shouldn't the 30mph limit mean what it says on the tin?

Sounds like mindless drivel written by somebody who doesn't really know what he's talking about to me.

An attempt to appear grown up?
