Brown envelopes dropping onto a LOAD of doormats today

I've been approving a stack of new posters this morning...

Not surprising, the only surprise is that they are sending them now rather than the Saturday of the August Bank Holiday so expect another load then.

You are aware that CUK is currently advertising what seems to be a similar scheme (Network One) on the main front page....

No I'm not, but potential punters aren't far from due diligence searches as far as I'm concerned..

      Breeze threads, anyone?

And those people who have just gone on their hols having just missed the post, or just coming back. Tonight and Monday are going to be busy.

HMRC have sent an offer to settle (which should more accurately be read as a letter demanding a very large sum of money from you but we are nice so won't be adding excessive Wonga like penalty charges today) to people who have been part of an EBT or Loan based tax planning scheme...

Following HMRCs standard approach of ensuring people have time to panic with no means of speaking to anyone in HMRC they were sent to arrive on a Saturday morning (yesterday) so that people have the weekend to worry....

HMRC "offer to settle" == pay up all the money we think you owe*
