    Job of the day

    Hi mudskipper,

I have a new and urgent position that has just become available that I wanted to make you aware of.
Please note that the way our database works is on the principle of matching key words / skills in your CV and not against financial expectations . This is primarily because individual's financial expectations often shift in accordance with circumstances and market conditions. If this vacancy is outside of your expectations we sincerely apologise and will endeavour to find a position more in tune with your needs as quickly as possible.

    Level 1 IT Hardware Engineer
My client is currently looking for 6 Level 1 IT Hardware Engineers for the initial stages of a mass office relocation. The successful candidate will ideally have a CSCS Card or be willing to obtain one before they start. The initial contract will be 1 month but there will be additional work on an ad hoc basis across the rest of the year.

    RATE: £80 a day

    LOCATION: Cardiff

Money aside, I'd love to know what keywords they think they matched me on. I guess it was "CV"

*Disclaimer: Being from Swansea I may be somewhat biased*

Probably the fact that I wouldn't be qualified even if I did apply.

This guy must know he's pissing in the wind to even bother writing that. My bet is this is ClientCo thinking it's like hiring a cleaner, the agent has told them it isn't and ClientCo insisted so agent has posted this knowing it'll be laughed at.

Mind you, clientco might have been reading PC's posts and drawn their own conclusions about the contracting market in south wales...

            £80 a day? £400 a week, in Wales? You'd be like a millionaire!

I've seen other legit stuff advertised at 10/hr. Good luck with that...

Geez and I laughed at someone offering £250 a day in north wales
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

As I have a CSCS card, by the recruitment agencies database I would probably qualify!

But I have far more sense than to go in to the “profession” of ICT
