    Job of the Day

A team lead role for a banking client paying £190 a day. FFS one would be better off flipping burgers at McDonalds or stacking shelves at Tesco if you factor in holiday and sickness benefits.

    --------

    Hello,

Hope you are well. I'm currently recruiting for an agile team leader working for a key client of ours based in Birmingham. This is a contract opportunity for initially 6 months.

The client is a banking organisation and they are looking for someone who can help lead a team who will be recovering data through a process laid out. The information will be confidential and care would need to be taken.

Please note this is not a technical role however some level of technical understanding is fine. We are looking for someone who understands the process laid out and can drive the team forward.

Details: 6 Month Contract based in Birmingham, paying £190-200 /day to start ASAP.

I look forward to hearing from you should this be of interest.

Bearing in mind this comment it's not going to be a very highly skilled role and it is in Birmingham. I would say this doesn't look unreasonable IMO.

So not only does the rate suck the work will too, still at least they will have a scapegoat for when it all goes t!ts up (make sure your PI/PL insurances are sufficient and up to date)!

Would that be the type of agile team leader who can stick their head up their own arse?
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

So if rate sucks and the job sucks then that is a well balanced role surely? You are reading too much into it. It's an admin team lead. No tech skills and running a team of process monkies. For some people that's a perfectly reasonable job and the remuneration is in line with that. None story.

I also very much doubt anyone working at this level will be in the firing line when it goes tits up.

My missus does that and her permie equivalent would make that rate look untenable, and worse she's not even working in banking
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

The bit that worries me is
'The client is a banking organisation and they are looking for someone who can help lead a team who will be recovering data...'

                Which bank and what data?

It may surprise you, but 1k per week on favourable tax terms would be a great income for most people in this country.
