I haven't been able to shower since SY01's first post because immediately after reading it I filled my bath up with water so I'd have something to drink once it got cut off and I ran out of lager.

I'm beginning to think it wasn't such a good idea

Waiting for WWIII is a bit like watching a kettle. It just seems to take ages.

My advice is go and do few jobs around the house. For example, black-out the windows, dig an Anderson shelter in the garden and most importantly do a massive on-line Tesco shop. Get 3 months of food delivered next week.

And before you know it .... BOOOM! It will all have kicked off and you can watch it on BBC News 24 with a nice cold glass of Chablis. But don't forget to order plenty of chips 'n' dips as you will be glued to the set for days.

PS Some Potassium iodide tablets might come in handy too if little Mr Putin has a nuclear tantrum.
