    Scottish Independence

    Ha ha!

Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Good job for the Jockos that the English aren't being allowed to vote on whether to preserve the union or not. If they were the moaning salad dodgers would be out tomorrow with only a "don't let the door hit you on the arse on the way out" to accompany them.

Ronald has over 10,000 citations recorded on Google Scholar and has consistently been ranked in the top one per cent of economists in the world in the IDEAS/RePEc ranking.

Personally I reckon a monkey throwing darts at a dart board could make the top 50%.

Theres a plan B for NF.

I've read bits of his blog.

I wonder though… Most people in Scotland would vote for fiscal independence from Westminster in a heart beat. The PM knows this. When Holyrood proposed they'd hold a referendum on DevoMax, David Cameron blocked it forcing an independence referendum.

So think about it. A currency union achieves a back door to DevoMax, just not full independence. Which is why the government are so keen to denounce there'll be NO currency union.

That's what I don't understand, it's almost as if Salmond wants to lose, if he really believed in independence he'd be arguing for votes across the UK to be able to get a yes vote

It's almost as if he wants to stay in Holyrood a while longer and is afraid of being usurped after a yes vote...
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

Is there any evidence that a majority of English and Welsh people favour independence for Scotland, or are you just projecting your own daft short-sighted opinion on the rest of the population?

It's anecdotal but it's hardly more popular in Scotland

Agreed. A suggestion of nothing but innuendo, there's no intent by the rUK to vote Scotland out of the union.
