A compliment that made my day

Fookin early start. 3:30am. 7:05 flight from LGW.

When I arrived at Cologne I couldn't find a working cashpoint. So I grabbed a cab and explained the predicament.

While we were en route to the office the cabby asked if I was from Munich.

I explained I was English. "But your speaking German!".

Then completely unrelated, one of my a German colleagues this afternoon out of the blue said I have a superb German accent, non regional.

    One speaks ze Qveen's German

Fookin right after all that study.
Knock first as I might be balancing my chakras.

So do she and her family, but we're supposed to pretend they're British since all that unpleasantness a century ago

I am a teensie bit proud. But more importantly it was only a year ago that I decided to work on my German. I hope this encourages others, seriously.

        If Suity can, anyone can.
