    Ice Bucket Challenge

Is anyone else getting really bored of this now?
If I go on Facebook, Everyone is doing this and yet I can't help feel that people are doing it out of peer pressure rather than charity. What about all the other worthy charities out there?

Are you pouring cold water on the idea?

It seems like a 50/50 split between MND and people picking whatever charity they like.

        Does it matter though?

I don't need to be nominated to give to charity and I don't think people know exactly how much of their money goes on actual research.
Only 28% goes on research! and The CEO of the ALS ice bucket charity makes $339k / year from you.

Revenue from all sources for the fiscal year of The ALS Association ending January 31, 2014 was $29,102,318. Total expenditures for the fiscal year were $26,204,122

It does to me. I give money to charity because I want to, and I believe in what the charity is doing. I'm not going to be coerced into giving money to a charity because somebody has dumped cold water over their head and said my name. And if I do go along with it and nominate someone else and they decide to give to a charity that I actively disagree with, then in my eyes I've done more harm than good.
