    The Rockall Question

It seems ridiculous that Rockall should be joined at the hips with the Shetland Islands, when it is hundreds of miles away and is rarely even visited by Shetlanders.

So now would be an opportune time for Rockall to gain independence from Shetland!

It is a difficult decision for the residents of Rockall

However they choose they'll end up between a rock and a hard place.

In fact they are a rock and a hard place

They've already voted. It wasn't a good turnout at the polls.

        Hmmm... inneresting.

As a matter of fact, Rockall has actually had a resident for the past 3 months - a gennleman named Mick Hancock who has been camped out in a pod on the summit (if that's the correct terminology) to raise funds for Help for Heroes.

You can read all about Mick's valiant effort right here

Says Nick Hancock on wikipedia (like thats gospel), I did wonder why the comedian would do such a thing.

                  qh
He had a negative bluety on a quackhandle and was quadraspazzed on a lifeglug.

I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.

                    45 days actually. Finished now.
He was aiming for 60 days but I think some supplies got washed away early on.

Look up Tom McCLean who set the original record. 40 days in a plywood box.
