    Alistair Darling

Deserves a vote of thanks for the way he handled the No campaign. Whereas I don't agree with his politics I do admire the statesman-like way he dealt with Alex Salmond.

An earnest, well-meaning, dull as ditchwater economist.

Should have looked at the positives of union and the inevitable reforms that are coming following the vote.

I like him but between him and Milliband they nearly lost the union.

I detest the man but it was Gordon Brown wot won it.

Makes no difference. They were always going to vote no - even if they had a meeting of the Bullingdon Club in Princes street on Wednesday night.

The Scots are tight - and know they get loads of cash from the English. Let them carry on Freeloading and whining.

I'd have like to see a more positive "no" campaign which really did extol the virtues of being better together, rather than just relying on the "you're nothing without us!" argument which seemed to prevail.

Dan Snow laid into the No campaign last night saying exactly this.

They binned him after the yes poll went into the lead. He's a Westminster twat, hope he never shows his face in Glasgow.
