So the west attacks Syria in the end....

Except they have attacked the opposite side to what they were saying last year!

Couldn't make this stuff up could you?

To add insult to injury they are training "moderates" in Saudi Arabia! wtf does that mean? I translate that as: "we are building our next
Frankenstein which we will unleash once we are done with IS".

To add more salt to the wound it has a coalition which includes the finders and supporters of IS.

    I give up.

Stop selling arms to the middle east and let them duke it out.

You cannot give them money to sort their social problems out because it gets channeled anywhere but where it is needed.

You cannot provide aid workers because they get kidnapped and beheaded.

You cannot support this year's allies because they are next year's terrorists.

No, according to our liberal ways, you cannot tar them all with the same brush but we are still giving firewater and winchesters to savages just like the US did two centuries and more ago. Why does no one ever learn. If you were cynical, you would think they did it on purpose so the US Government could say 'we told you so, we need to wipe them all out'

Oh and it is all the fault of the way humans skew religion. Religion is dangerous, faith not so much.

For a start the Iraqi government has been crying out for arms for years. They have been warning about the dangers from Syria - which US helped create (directly or indirectly). Only now the monster has grown do they decide to act.... They wouldn't give the Iraqi government the arms they need to fight IS - what do you think the reasoning is behind that while continuing the supply arms to the Syrian "opposition".

And all the while, the Russians are supplying arms to the opposition's opposition. Do you see what the problem is here?

However, given the fact that there are something like 50 countries licenced to produce Kalashnikovs, including China and some very unstable African countries, do you think if we stopped supplying them, they wouldn't get them from somewhere else?

The UN needs to mandate disarmament. The whole region needs to be disarmed. Never going to happen though.

The only reason they're boosting the training of moderates is that is part of 'a deal' made between the US and Saudi Arabia to gain their support for the bombing in Syria. Saudis wouldn't go into Syria without the US commitment to the training of moderates (to ultimately unseat Assad). Without the Saudi's joining the US effort to bomb Syria, the coalition wouldn't get off the ground and nothing would happen to ISIS in Syria.

Saudis have their own goals and objectives in the region, and they happen to be more important than removing ISIS.

For the Saudis, Syria had become a critical frontline in the battle for regional influence with Iran, an Assad ally. As Mr. Assad stepped up his domestic crackdown, the king decided to do whatever was needed to bring the Syrian leader down, Arab diplomats say.

So the US is working with the primary funder and supporter of IS to destroy IS and part of the deal includes creating another IS..... Wtf?
