    Sensible or totally unfair?

Stockport school bans Sierra Leone boy over Ebola fears | Daily Mail Online

British school bans nine-year-old from Sierra Leone because parents feared he could give classmates Ebola
Kofi Mason-Sesay was due to attend a primary school in Stockport
Nine-year-old has joint British and Sierra Leonean nationality
He was supposed to spend several weeks at the school while his British mother Miriam carried out visits to other schools as part of her charity work
Public Health England says Kofi and his mother pose no risk
Kofi has had lessons at the school regularly since he was three
He last visited the school in July and has friends there
But parents campaigned against latest visit, which has been cancelled
Mother, 48, says she and her son have been treated 'like lepers'

The parents are morons. The school should ignore their "concerns" (i.e. uninformed hysteria with a healthy dose of racism), on the grounds that they've ignored all explanations of why there isn't any risk, so sod 'em. If they don't send their kids to school because of their own stupidity, prosecute them. They don't even have the Disneyland-in-termtime excuse of saving money.

Neither does the other kid but his parent gets to choose when he goes to school just because she 'does' charidee? Last time she bothered to send him was July?

Kind of missed the point of the story, haven't you? He lives in Sierra Leone, and would be attending the school temporarily while his mother is here on behalf of the charity for which she works.

Charity workers coming from Sierra Leone to Stockport
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

No I didn't. His parents are picking and choosing when and where he goes to school. The other kids in his class don't get that privilege and you are advocating their parents get sued if they don't attend. How can this poor kid possibly get any benefit whatsoever from a totally different curriculum for 'several weeks' when his mother cares to 'visit'.

                  I love this line...

Mother, 48, says she and her son have been treated 'like lepers'
If she had changed the disease in that line she would have hit the nail on the head lol.....

I do feel sorry for schools put in this position. They have a set of Goveners that are usually made up of parents of present children who take an interest in the school. They really aren't prepared for dealing with Ebola scares, depp rooted racism and all the crap that is hitting schools at the moment. Damned if they and damned if they don't.
