Maybe the French will have Louisiana back as well.

They obviously haven't realised they'd get Sarah Palin as part of the deal.

But would we want the majority of the East coast states back? Actually minus some of the population that would want to remain non Brit it would be ok I guess (ok, so it does include some decent assets too ).

If it's a bleak wilderness devoid of any form of civilisation they're after, can't we offer them Rotherham?

We didn't sell it to the Americans, we lost it in a war.

Some years back, there was an American court case to try to rule the Louisiana purchase illegal because neither signatory to the contract had the appropriate authority to conduct the contract. Had it been successful, the land would have returned to France or to the descendants of the French landowners.

As it happened, the judge ruled that the statute of limitations had run out by several decades.

They should give the whole continent (north and south) back to the Indians by rights and send all the Europeans back to Plymouth.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

Since when does India have a claim to the Americas?

They were probably there before Columbus. Everybody else was.
