BBC News - Banksy's new Bristol work, Pierced Eardrum, vandalised

    Ironic really.

Not very long ago, Banksy was considered to be a vandal, with orders to paint over his work.

Now his work is worth ££££ and any alterations are vandalism.

Maybe it's all part of the art. Tracy Emin's rubbish makes money, can't see why a spray painted knob is any worse.

I thought (as much as the vandalism side of it) that many of societies rule makers did not like his work for the political statements it made.

So probably even though public opinion has forced the rule makers to back of their stance they will via the back door employ underhand tactics to remove the art work.
