    Selling Software Online

    Ok. Serious question for once.

I wrote a small application last week to do some bits & pieces for Crystal Reports. Didnt take long, about 4 hours because I know the object model quite well.

When i mentioned the functionality to another developer(not telling him I had written something), he said, oh you can buy X online for $400.

I downloaded the app and lo and behold - mine was better and with more functionality.

Has anyone written any software and then put it onto one of the many sites that sell these solutions? Is it worth it?

So yet again. No is the answer. No-one on here has done it.

            IT Professionals or IT Wannabes?

Give it to El Duder, he seems to be the only one brave enough to setup a new business !
