    Debt bint is back

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/5327462.stm

This time we're pushing firmly ahead with the "I decide not to respond to any of my creditors. " approach.

    How stupid is this woman?

I think she is quite right to play hardball with those twats in call centres. they seem to think people have a bottomless pit of money but if they did then they wouldnt be in that position.

Excuse me for being stupid. What is the reason for not selling her BTL?

You know what they say about assumptions!

Is this woman for real or is it a show put on for the BBC viewing/reading public?

Apparently the quotes she was given were not high enough, after all fees she'd barely make a profit, thus in her view it makes no sense to sell it.

Looks like she counts on that her case will become public enough for companies to act differently, and they sure will - their decision will be perfect from legal point of view. She sure is stuffed as she seems to have taken out morgage with people who are pretty close to debt sharks.

I think she is the same debt person who appeared on BBC few years ago, just back then she was saying she even though she gets paid like £35-40k it was nowhere enough (for her lifestyle) and she had debts (excl morgage) of like £50-60k

...interesting what happened to the husband ?

I mean wasn't it his fault, with his failed restaurant.

Is he now in the "freezer" awaiting disposal ?
            I'm alright Jack

You obviously have no idea how the credit system works in this country. Ignoring them is the worst thing you can do as they will take you to court and once you have a CCJ you are screwed for the next 6 years until it is removed from your credit record (you are screwed without a CCJ if you default on multiple account and have to sort out a credit agreement forced upon you as well).

The best way to deal with it is be up front with the people you owe money and agree a payment plan that does not invole you defaulting. That woman is obviously a complete idiot, instead of selling her buy to let and cashing in on the equity in it (assuming there is equity in it) she is doing stupid crash course diets and not breast feeding which will have a negative effect on both her and her new born child. At the moment I don't really understand why she had the child in the first place, it seems to be an excuse for her not having any money so she is going to abandon it to her family so that she can make more money. The simple answer is sell up the Buy to Let, live off the cash for a while and enjoy the time with her new born and then slowly ease back into work. This also removes all of the debt problems as the equity in the buy to let will probably pay off a large proportion of her debts (if not all).

People like this really piss me off, they have all the answers but feel that the world owes them the right to have thier cake and eat it. If you didn't want to have to sell your buy to let you shouldn't have got stupidly in debt and pregnant when you couldn't afford it you stupid bint

This not strictly true - first you need to get actual county court judgement against you, but if you pay within 28-30 days, then no CCJ will be on your case. But if you fail to pay within that period, then CCJ will remain even if you pay it all off (ie bailiffs make you) it will still remain on your record, albeit with "paid" status. This is what I did to one bint who tried to rip me off for wrongly alleged damages in rented place few years ago and sued me, she now got nice CCJ from my counter suit, just remembering that now makes me feel very good

Should have run up loads of debts, liquidated all her assets and done a runner abroad.
