    Budge up!

    Back on the bench.

This time I'm taking a little more time to recharge, gain a better grasp of Enterprise Architect, read some relevant books (Lean Startup and Million Dollar Consultant being the first two) and revamp my website, LinkedIn and CV.

And I'm going to be a bit pickier in my choice of contracts next time (after the horrors of the last one).

    Roll on Christmas!

You're taking up too much space. I will give you until Friday afternoon to move along a bit.

I hate my CV. It's grown like leylandii but somehow lacks kerb appeal. That'll be getting a serious revamp. Besides that I am going to visit some friends/family then batten down the hatches until January.

If you fancy dealing with a bunch of utterly clueless muppets we desperately need a BA. But I really really wouldn't recommend it. The only reason this project is agile is to allow end clients to finish the specs 4 months late and still meet the delivery date

Upside is its going to be the largest project of its type in the world and I'm rapidly becoming the technical architect. The fact I currently laugh through the supposed architects presentations and then tell them how we are going to do it probably helps on that front...

Do you know, I can go through a project, research my plan of action and make a major decision all without asking the congregation to research and make the decision for me.

Suffice to say that I now know that you can buy the 'Death March Project' book second hand in Amazon that the next reprint will be in March 2015.

              #sbfw was used occasionally though...

Enjoy EA. It's a cracking tool for the money.

I feel the same about being choosier. Projected end date here in Bonn is 4.12 so I'm currently being really choosy about which roles I apply for.

After all, that's the point of contracting. In the past though, urgency has led to me taking roles regardless.

                Enjoy the break.
Knock first as I might be balancing my chakras.
