lets hope if the Queen gives him a Knighthood that the queen slips with the sword!

I have images of her going all Kill Bill at a Knighthood ceremony.

Trouble is, Camoron is just as much as a twat about foreign aid.

It's crazy to have a fixed amount of GDP, aid should be decided on a case by case basis, help for major disasters and raising GDP of countries who need it and where figures show that it is well used.

NOT for countries who can afford nuclear weapons or space travel, are hostile to the UK or where it produces little demonstrable affect.

I would grant corp tax reduction for UK companies to build infrastructure. So if they build a water distribution system in say Africa on a charitable basis then they can get small a reduction in UK corp tax. Means we develop UK industry and they build relations in LDCs. Thsi wouldn't apply unless say 90% of the cost of parts & labour are in UK. We get tax take on parts and labour, they get a cheap way to give.

        Money just gets wasted.

Save the Children UK’s chief executive, Justin Forsyth, worked for Blair on global poverty issues before being appointed to the charity, and Jonathan Powell, his former chief of staff and a former Brown aide, is on its board.

'Save the Children', please revoke the award given to Tony Blair in supposed recognition of his vanguard leadership on the world’s international development stage.
As an international children's charity the choice of Tony Blair is not only controversial to say the least, as many see him as the cause of the deaths of countless children in the Middle East with damning allegations relating to his role as Middle East envoy and businesses dealings with autocratic rulers and others in the region

Disgusting, but remember that this award was given by Save The Children US and had nothing to do with the UK branch therefore I don't think the petition will sway, sadly.
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

They love Tony Blair in the US.

Ask any US citizen about UK PMs, first of all they have heard of Blair and second they start saying how wonderful he is.

Sorry Xog, but when will you idealists ever learn?

Aside from occasional small donations to look the part, overseas "aid" is nothing to do with saving kiddies or people displaced by disasters and so on. Nobody in Government gives a flying feck about all that. It's nothing more than state bribes to aid in clinching trade deals.
