BT in talks to buy O2

BBC News - BT and Telefonica in 'preliminary' talks over O2 sale

So that will be all the charm and efficiency of BT customer services with the technology and sophistication of O2

Didn't O2 start out as BT mobile? Maybe even BT Cellnet before that?

In fact quick Google and it was...O2 (United Kingdom) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bit of a circular journey in all

BT are also considering EE according to Bloomberg:

BT in Talks to Buy EE or O2 in U.K. to Add Mobile Service - Bloomberg

I really hope EE improves whatever happens as since I moved from Orange, I have had nothing but problems - poor reception, no internet etc.

indeed O2 and Bt were one and the same...

          then split

          then buying it back

someone somewhere is going to make out like a bandit out of this...

          won't be the punter though

Not to mention that it appears to be a buyers market with both EE and o2 throwing themselves at BT.

                I agree with you.

Having dealt with BT I have to say they are the most miserable, crappest, tulipist, flea ridden pile of dog excrement ever. I usually stick up for British companies but I hope they are all sent, including the ******* indian call centres to the BT version of a Turkish prison. May their soles suffer in hell.

Please feel free to correct my spelling.

                  Buying EE instead:

BT to acquire EE for £12.5bn
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.
