    Buying bitcoins

What is the simplest way I can get my virtual hands on bitcoins? Preferably fairly quickly.

Having checked some of the sites they seem to want scans of utility bills and passports and have a validation period. Is that normal?

    Cheers

Cheers, that seems a bit more sensible, only requires a passport for 20k+.

I just want to buy 50 quid worth.

Seems odd to want utility and passports for something that is supposed to be anonymous.

I believe there are markets in London where you can cash in your bitcoins - no questions asked. I think you get about 60p in the pound.

Some info here: http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comm...s_please_read/ (I only came across it as I was looking at Agora and you need BTC to trade)

I had to do it about a year ago to join an NZB site. I remember it being a right royal PITA. Took me about 3 days to figure it out.

A Satoshi - 100,000,000 in a bitcoin. The smallest unit of bitcoin, named after the inventor.

                  I did not know that.
