    Anyone here got a drone?

Police alert over unmanned drones 'being flown illegally around London's landmarks' - London - News - London Evening Standard

    Sounds like fun.

I really really want one but I imagine in reality there's a lot of faffing about like with model planes, and that sounds dull.

Plus they all seem to work LOS with short battery life and to me the magic would be being able to fly a proper distance rather than drive to the thing you want to send the drone to look at - send it up a river or a mountain to play at being Attenborough.

Maybe a robot earthworm or similar would be better, you could send it sneaking into places without being noticed. Mmmm!

Would need to be a hell of a remote control for me to do it. Clipheed is the flying man.

You want to send your worm into dark dirty private places?
