    Train - FREEZING

    Does my chunk in!

Took a thermometer today - 7C on the train. Nuts.
Moaned to the guard - his answer - its always like this it takes hours to warm up when its cost outside.

Now, I've been to Helsinki in the winter when its well cold and they seem to manage on their trains.

To be honest, there have been days when its been ok just not many. I've got a feeling the train company know thats its cold and even have a load of carriages where they're well aware that the heating doesnt work at all but know that no-one will kick off.

I've moaned to the train company before and get some crap answer.

I'm tempted to demand a refund citing the sale of goods. Surely the contract of services involves them transporting you from A to B providing an adequate degree of comfort? They've not done this IMHO.

    Might give it a go.

I'm not even an atheist so much as I am an antitheist; I not only maintain that all religions are versions of the same untruth, but I hold that the influence of churches, and the effect of religious belief, is positively harmful. [Christopher Hitchens]

It's nowhere near -7 in south wales at the moment. Cars aren't even iced over.

Used to have this on the train to halifax. Freezing most of the journey in winter, cooking like a side of beef in summer.

Unless you're on an intercity or train in the namby pamby world of london and the south east, you're lucky to find a train with heating \ air con.
