Plan for some alt entertainment, climate or at least weather change is real, so thick snow is not guaranteed anymore.

-1 here in Munich and it's snow snow snowing. Plenty choice here and across the boarder in Austria.

A good choice. Pamporovo is good for mid range skiing. The faculties are not as sophisticated as the Alps but it very much cheaper and you won't get the snooty ***s that frequent Davos. Although water is safe to drink you may want to buy bottled water. The rate of exchange is linked to the Euro. DON'T exchange in the UK or at airports, you should get a rate of AT LEAST 2.5 BGN to 1 GBP.
