    People Crying at work

Over the last 3 years I have witnessed two grown men both breakdown.

1 a 50 year old ex hooligan (well looked like one and supported ARSE-nil), started crying in the office (due to personal reasons), I sent him home

2nd one was a 6 foot 3 20 stone fella working for me on an upgrade project. Totally broke down because of the stress and demands of the project (the customer PM was a complete Joke and only about 5 foot and 6 stone).

I sent him home to recover as well, never saw him again as he was signed off work for about 3 months (permies).

anyone seen similar? is there a trend developing?

I did once when my now ex-wife phoned and told me my dog had died

Just because you're a contractor, doesn't make you impervious to human emotion
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

I heard about someone where I used to work giving a demonstration to a room full of people when the software crashed. He had a nervous breakdown there and then, couldn't go on, and was off sick for the next 6 months.

Poor bloke, but then I can't help feeling if you're getting that stressed about your work you're probably doing it wrong.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

True on that basis Bill Gates should have died of a heart attack decades ago

Seen plenty of women on the blob crying at work.

Luckily my people skills are top notch, I just tell them to stop scriking*, pull themselves together and put kettle on and mek* us all a brew (love).

                    * Lancashire expressions cos I'm a bloody Northerner.
