example of clients unfairly treating contractors

    Good evening

This thread is for sharing any experiences where client treated you (contractor) unfairly, and you were discriminated against on the ground that you were a contractor.
Please share if you or any other contractors were targeted unfairly. and what step did you take to protest?

Can clients treat contractors differently? In what ways? What is acceptable? And what is unethical/not acceptable?

    Thanks for your contribution…

I once had a client who looked at me funny. I felt really bad for ages and I never got over it, discrimination is a terrible thing. What people don't realise , is that if you think it's bad, then it is. Like race crime. as long as someone, somewhere in the world, even a loony in a loony bin, thinks its a race crime, then it is.
I once dropped a sweet wrapper in 1975, I now feel so bad because it might be a race 'sweet paper dropping' incident, if someone 'deems' it so.

Anyways, back to the original point. what was it again ?

      'good morning'

now WHAT the heck was THAT supposed to mean ???? what was he implying ?
obv. I called my lawyer straight away, I will not be discriminated against

I am contractor, hear me roar

How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

              Oh and to the OP.

If you don't like the client or how they treat you it's very simple: terminate the contract.

Needless to say I won't be making this a stickie...

I don't have to clock in, I largely choose my hours and holidays, have no appraisals or target setting, and I get paid 2-3 times what the permies get. It is very unfair, but for some reason the permies don't complain. I think they're too oppressed.

I am always treated unfairly, but then again so were other avante garde thinkers in their time.
